Tour Itinerary
Our excursion starts daily at approximately 9:30 AM and lasts until 5:30 PM (around 8 hours in total). You may choose to be picked up from your hotel by our minivan or come directly to our central base.
Once we reach our central base and board the Jeeps, we begin our off-road adventure towards Southern Crete. The first stop is the Potamón Dam, an impressive wetland area. Next, we head to Patsos and Drimiskos, discovering the authentic rural side of the island.
We then make our way to the beautiful Ligres Beach, where you can swim in the clear waters of the Libyan Sea and enjoy a traditional meal at a local taverna. Afterward, we visit the renowned Preveli area with its impressive palm forest, where the river meets the sea among lush palm trees. On our way back, we pass through Keramé, Koxaré, and Armenoi, returning to our starting point at around 5:30 PM.

Stop to admire the impressive wetland environment at Potamón Dam. Take photos and learn about the local flora and fauna. Short drive through the authentic villages of Batsos and Grimiskos, where you can experience traditional Cretan countryside life.
Arrive at Ligres Beach with its crystal-clear waters of the Libyan Sea. Enjoy a traditional Cretan lunch (meat with rice or potatoes, or a vegetarian option, salad, tzatziki, bread, and water). Relax, swim, or take in the scenery until departure.
Drive to the famous palm forest of Preveli. Admire the unique spot where the river meets the sea.
Enjoy the changing landscapes as you head back north. Optional brief stops for photographs if time allows.
End of the tour. Drop-off at your hotel (if transfer was arranged) or trip concludes at the central base. Note: Exact timings may vary based on weather, traffic, and the group’s pace. Your guide will inform you of any changes to the schedule.
A valid driver’s license from your home country is sufficient. Some basic driving experience is recommended, but the guide will provide a short briefing before departure.
Yes, of course! If you don’t have a license or prefer not to drive, you can still join. You will be placed in a Jeep with two other participants who have a valid driver’s license, allowing you to fully enjoy the experience without any driving concerns.
