Explore the Natural Paradise of Preveli: A Unique Day Trip from Rethymno
Preveli Beach, the Palm Beach of Crete. Located on the Southern coast of the island and marks the end of the wild Kourtaliotiko Gorge . It has a unique blend of aquatic environment with the palm trees, green riverbank, the golden beach sands, and the Libyan sea.
First Stop: Kourtaliotiko Gorge . This gorge’s spring water creates small waterfalls and clear streams leading to Preveli Beach.
Second Stop: Damnoni Beach . With turquoise waters and fine sands where the boat departs for Preveli Beach.
Third Stop: Preveli Beach . A combination of fresh green river surrounded by palm trees on the sides, a backdrop of the rocky mountains, and the Libyan Sea in the open separated by the sandy beach. Here you will enjoy swimming or soak yourself under the Cretan sunshine.
Last Stop: Plakias . Is a picturesque seaside village on Crete’s Southern coast. Visitors can enjoy a stroll along the beachfront promenade, savor traditional dishes at local taverns, and explore small shops selling local products before heading back to Rethymno town.
Our journey back to Rethymno will take us through the imposing Kotsifou Gorge where there is a small church alongside the road built against the cliff.

Morning Departure: We start from Rethymno between 08:30, ensuring a relaxed beginning to your day.
Our first stop is the breathtaking Kourtaliotiko Gorge, where you'll have the chance to take stunning photos of the dramatic cliffs and lush surroundings.
From the charming beach of Damnoni, you'll board a comfortable boat for a scenic ride along the coast to Preveli Beach.
Once at Preveli Beach, you'll have around three hours to enjoy the serenity of this natural paradise. Swim in crystal-clear waters, relax on the sandy beach, explore the lush palm forest, and admire the magnificent view of the Libyan Sea.
After your time at Preveli, the boat takes you back to Damnoni, where our bus awaits to take you to Plakias. This beautiful seaside village is perfect for enjoying a meal, taking another refreshing swim, or shopping for local products.
We end our day by returning to Rethymno through the impressive Kotsifou Gorge, time for photos
